33-Year-Old Drives Grandfather's 1938 Bugatti to Hershey Car Show

Imagine spotting this rare beauty gliding along Pennsylvania's I-81, smugly flaunting her sleek lines. That's the plan this Sunday according to a Facebook post by The Elegance at Hershey.

Further research shows that this 1938 Bugatti Type 57 Ventoux Coupe is owned by Walter Baran, a popular and longtime car collector from Frackville, Pa., about 60 miles northeast of Hershey. His grandson Matt Baran will continue the family tradition of driving - not trailering - their prized cars, regardless of value or rarity. Interestingly, the chassis number of the car is just six from the famous #57591 assigned to the 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe owned by Ralph Lauren, which Jalopnik valued at $40 million.
